no yaar the trailers made it look real good but it turned out to be garbage. i agree with Yas... i kept watching it thinking...ok....its going to get better, but nope. almost 2 hours of pure gayness.

indeed saima is a very talented actress. everyone always puts her looks over her talent which is wrong. she's the most talented pakistani film actress by far IMO.

last movies i saw were catwoman and i-robot (both on dvd). both sucked. do urselves a favour and dont make the same mistake i did: rent them first. lol

sex sells but not in india, i dont think.
ex: some broad off the street could do a risky movie and nobody would care, as N.T.G said. but if you have a well-known actress do a risky movie, it would definately click. sex doesnt sell as much as name (as well as script, songs etc), in india. my opinion....

altho i hated his comment regarding pakistan awhile back, i always thought he was a wicked actor. not only a good 'bad guy', but a funny one too. his best movie in my opinion was KISHAN KANHAIYA!

agree abt fakhir's album.
humaira's song is a kickass track, especially if ur into bhangra or abrar-type songs.
abeer is a new pakistani singer. her album came out abt 1 month ago and one song is real good. its called 'mahi ve chan ve'
the best site for the absolute latest pakistani music and exclusive material (live concert recordings and so on)...www.pakmusic.com is ur hookup. theres no better site. all the songs are mp3 format.
fuzon's next album is due out in february. probably around basant. but keep in mind its muharram...so dont be surprised if it comes out later (march). no idea abt strings tho. they're touring the world right now so i dont think they're even working on their next album...lol

fakhir's tauba hai and mahi ve are hot these days.
some band named 'sur' has a popular song out right now called akhiyan.
rubber band (with ahmed bhatt from ep, mekaal hasan and some other guy) has a song out called 'rubber band' in which they tease popular bands like fuzon, and junoon!
humaira arshad's single has been released which is called 'kanoo mardan' AWESOME track...
hadiqa and atif have a duet for a drama called 'aas paas' which is making the rounds...
abeer released her album abt a month ago, and her track 'mahi ve chan ve' is pretty good...
strings are on fire right now...that monster lookin' lady from bollywood (think her names bipsha) and another bollywood actress danced on stage @ the MTV IMMIES with strings while they sang 'chayae chayae'

i'd make a movie with shaan-amna haq, humayoun saeed-sadia imam. sajjad ali and/or shafqat amanat ali would compose the music. the story would be on pakistanis trying to make it in north america. i'd shoot in toronto or new york city.

i think lollywood will remain unchanged. i've noticed everyone - from the actors and actresses to the directors and producers are nothing but talk. they say alot of sh*t but they dont produce anything we can call 'blockbuster'
i think the fashion and drama industries will shine. we need more models tho, especially if amna haq really does retire.
the industry that will THRIVE in 2005 in my opinion, is the pop/music industry of pakistan. i have never seen an album as highly anticipated as FUZON'S next album. and then there's HADIQA who is due for something new, HUMAIRA ARSHAD, MEKAAL HASAN BAND and the list goes on. there is an explosion of bands in pakistan right now, and 2005 will see some big names come up...
in a recent article in india, a big record company executive said that india is looking to sign bands from pakistan and bangladesh. they have already snagged fuzon, strings and junoon. and according to this guy our bands charge between 1.5 - 25 lakh RUPEES for a performance/appearance/deal.... ...pakistani music will kick ass in 2005 insha'allah
